Our abstract on measurement of head circumference using 2D photographs was accepted in the annual meeting of the Pediatric Academic Society (PAS 2021), one of the largest gatherings of the pediatric community.

We are excited to announce that PediaMetrix receives ~$1M non-dilutive funding from the National Science Foundation SBIR Phase II program to develop SoftSpot, the first smart digital tool for infants' cranial evaluation at the point of care. This award puts PediaMetrix among top 6% of companies who make it this far and receive a Phase II SBIR award. It also make PediaMetrix Eligible for $700,000 additional non-dilutive funding. We are excited and look forward to bring SoftSpot to the market and make it available to millions of parents and physicians in the US and around the world!

PediaMetrix is pleased to welcome Can Kocabalkanli to its R&D team as a Computer Vision Research Engineer. Can joins us in full time capacity after a successful internship in the Summer of 2020. Can holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a MS in Robotics, both from Johns Hopkins University!

We finished the development of our Beta product! The "SoftSpot" Beta platform has iOS and Android mobile apps, and web platforms for both parents and physicians (for at-home and in-office use), and is HIPAA compliant. SoftSpot will be only available for Beta testing until we receive FDA clearance. Please see demos here:

Our two papers submitted for presentation at SPIE Medical Imaging 2021, San Diego were accepted after peer review! The manuscripts present our latest results for head shape analysis. We will present the results in February!

PediaMetrix is pleased to announce that we have been selected to pitch in the MedTech Innovator / NCC-PDI Pediatric qualifying round on March 23 in College Park, MD. MedTech Innovator is probably one of the most selective virtual accelerators in medical devices. We have a 3-hr pitch interview on March 23 with four groups of judges. Ten teams will advance to the 4-month accelerator (virtual) and compete for a $250K prize.

Reza has an extensive background in the medical device field and brings 10 years of work experience at NIH, Johns Hopkins, and Children's Hospital of Washington DC. He was trained as an entrepreneur in the medical device industry and is the inventor of 7 U.S. patents.
